Yesterday, the authors of the channel "Amateur Meteorology in Kirov" reported a powerful X2 flare on the Sun. It occurred on the Sun's visible side.
"A large plasma ejection is occurring in our direction," the amateur meteorologists noted. In their opinion, in a couple of days Earth will be hit by a strong or even extreme geomagnetic storm. The Northern Lights may be visible throughout Russia.
