The Ryazan and Kirov "Drama" theaters will swap places.
From January 29 to February 1, actors from the Ryazan State Regional Drama Theater will perform on the main stage of the Kirov Regional Drama Theater. At the same time, the troupe of the Kirov Drama Theater will set off on a tour to Ryazan.
The exchange tours are organized as part of interregional cultural cooperation. The Ryazan Drama Theater, founded at the end of the 18th century, will present several productions from its current repertoire in Kirov. The program includes productions for both adult and children's audiences.
Meanwhile, the Kirov Regional Drama Theater will be performing on a stage in Ryazan. The government of the Kirov Region notes that the format of mutual tours allows theaters to broaden their audiences and maintain professional ties between regions.
Previously, the Kirov troupe has toured a number of Russian cities, including Yaroslavl, Saransk, Syktyvkar and Yoshkar-Ola.
