A trapper from Kirov was fined for illegal quadcopter flights over the Vyatka River.

The Kirov Transport Prosecutor’s Office conducted an inspection into the unauthorized use of airspace in the Orichevsky District of the Kirov Region. It was established that in November 2025 a 40‑year‑old man engaged in fur trapping launched and piloted a DJI quadcopter over the waters of the Vyatka River. The unmanned aerial vehicle had not been registered in the prescribed manner with Rosaviatsia. Based on materials from the transport prosecutor’s office, Rostransnadzor held the quadcopter’s owner administratively liable under Part 5 of Article 11.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (Violation of aircraft operation safety rules: operation of an aircraft that has not undergone state registration or has not been entered on the state register). The man was fined.
