Residents of Kirov are being asked to help name the "Terminator owl."

      Recently, staff at the "Big Nest" center told the story of an owl they are currently caring for. She was brought in with numerous injuries. As of today the initial course of treatment is finished and most of the stitches have been removed. In one spot on her chest an inflammation developed and the stitches came apart, so there is now an open wound there that is also gradually healing. The fractures still need to heal.

      According to specialists, the owl is most likely female. However, she is so powerful and strong that volunteers call her the Terminator. "She's not an owl, she's a Terminator," the center said. "As soon as the little owl started to feel better, it became impossible to keep her in the box. The owl categorically refuses the prescribed 'bed rest' and human attention as well, so for now we had to put her in a cage — we hope she won't gnaw it."

      The center staff are now trying to choose an official name for the owl and are asking Kirov residents to help. You can take part in the poll on the "Gnezda" page on VK.
