It has become known how Russians will spend their time off in 2026.

      In addition to the New Year holidays, which will last until January 12, Russians can expect several other extended periods of rest during the year.

      The next long weekend will be timed to Defender of the Fatherland Day — the break will last from February 21 to 23, Izvestia reports. In honor of International Women's Day, the days from March 7 to 9 will be days off.

      The May holidays in 2026 will traditionally be split into two stages. The first period of rest is scheduled for May 1 to 3, the second — for May 9 to 10.

      In June, Russians will have a long weekend for Russia Day — from June 12 to 14. In the autumn, an additional day off is planned for November 4, the Day of National Unity.

      Thus, in 2026 the country's citizens will have several convenient opportunities for short breaks and trips in different months of the year.
