The regional operator is monitoring the collection of municipal solid waste during the New Year holidays.

As reported by the regional operator, at the start of the holiday period there has been an increase in waste generation — 34% above normal, up to 470 tonnes of municipal solid waste (MSW) per day. To ensure the stable operation of the city's waste management system, 31 garbage trucks and 64 employees have been deployed to provide timely waste collection and cleaning of container sites.

The districts of Kirov Oblast are also under constant supervision: responsible duty officers have been appointed in all municipalities to coordinate crew operations and respond promptly to any incidents that arise.

Preventive measures have been taken. Ninety-three additional containers have been installed in the city, as well as nine bunkers for bulky waste at the busiest sites. This has helped minimize the risk of overflow and ensure waste collection in normal mode even with increased waste generation.

To prevent the cluttering of container sites, the regional operator conducts round-the-clock monitoring of citizen reports. Reports of localized shortcomings in MSW collection can be submitted by messaging the JSC "Kuprit" group on VKontakte — the information is promptly forwarded to the relevant specialists for rapid response.

The regional operator continues to operate in an enhanced mode throughout the holiday period.
