They are closing the bear hunting season in Kirov Oblast.
As reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Kirov Region, the next bear hunting season will open on March 21 and last until June 10.
The ministry also reminded hunters that they must return bear hunting permits to the place of issue within 10 days after they expire. If permits are not returned on time, the hunter will be denied new documents for one year.
We noted in May that hunters in the Kirov Region would be encouraged to hunt bears in order to reduce their numbers and bring them to a level safe for the ecosystem. Details are in our article.
