Temperatures as low as -37 °C are expected tonight in Kirov Oblast.

      As reported by the authors of the Telegram channel "Amateur Meteorology in Kirov," with clearings in low-lying areas in the far northeast of the region, thermometer readings may fall to −37 degrees Celsius. Such values are expected in isolated local spots and depend on weather conditions, primarily cloud cover.

      Earlier, on December 21, amateur meteorologists warned of a sharp change in the region's weather. After brief thaws and snowfalls on December 21–22, cold Arctic air began to move into the Kirov region.

      The most severe conditions are expected in the northern and northeastern districts, where, in clear weather, temperature lows may be lower than official forecasts. Details here.
