      The Gorky Railway has switched to an intensified mode of operation amid low temperatures. Railway workers paid particular attention to passenger safety and comfort.

      At stations, they additionally inspected buildings and structures, ensured the operation of heating systems, and performed maintenance on passenger infrastructure. Specialists also assessed the readiness of the rolling stock: they checked electrical equipment, braking and pneumatic systems, diesel units, radio communications, and safety equipment.

      In addition, along the line they monitored the operation of the automatic anti-icing system for the overhead contact line, lighting, turnout mechanisms, and communications systems. Railway employees, together with contractors, regularly treat station premises and platforms — platforms are sprinkled with sand and anti-icing agents. This helps reduce risks for passengers and ensures the uninterrupted operation of trains during the winter period.
