Road repairs continue in Kirov.

      Daily maintenance of the street and road network continues in Kirov, including pothole repairs that municipal workers carry out even during the winter. According to the Directorate of Improvement, the current priority is eliminating emergency potholes to reduce the risk of traffic accidents and vehicle damage.

      According to the deputy head of the directorate, Maksim Yegorov, the contractor has already completed repairs on Lenina, Blyukhera, Krasina and Ulyanovskaya streets and in Krasnoflotsky Lane. In the coming days work will continue in the city center, as well as in Lyangasovo, Doronichi and the Kominternovsky district.

      In winter, repairs are carried out using a poured asphalt concrete mix. Before laying, the section is milled and cleaned, then filled with material and leveled. After the work is completed, quality is checked by a supervisor from the directorate — volumes and compliance with standards are measured.

      There are currently about 30 sections on the repair list. The list is formed after road inspections and citizens’ requests. The contractor has been tasked with repairing all planned potholes by the end of the month.
