A resident of Pizhansky District has had money stolen by scammers returned to him through the courts.

      A 57-year-old resident of Pizhansky District lost 240,000 rubles after trusting scammers. For the man this sum was critical — his income is small.

      During the investigation it was established that the stolen funds were routed through the account of a so-called dropper — a front man residing in the Omsk Region who used his account to cash out the money.

      To protect the victim’s rights, the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit seeking to recover from the dropper the amount of unjust enrichment and interest for the use of another’s money. The court fully granted the prosecutor’s claim.

      The enforcement of the decision is under the supervision of the oversight authority.
