A verification system has been introduced for shelters and animal volunteers.
Non-profit organizations, private shelters, animal volunteers and veterinary clinics can undergo the verification. To do so, they must provide detailed information about their activities, documents and materials from the locations where the animals are kept. The verification is carried out by the platform's administration together with specialized partner foundations, the volga.news portal reports.
After a successful verification, applicants receive a special status valid for one year. It allows them to: • Post up to 300 listings per month in the "Cats" and "Dogs" categories • Use professional tools to manage listings • Receive increased visibility for their posts
Specific requirements are imposed on applicants: housing at least 10 animals, mandatory vaccination and sterilization, availability of equipped placement areas and a quarantine zone, as well as provision of basic care conditions.
According to the service, most pets find new owners through such platforms. The new system is intended to structure this process and provide potential owners with more information about those rehoming animals.
