In the Kumensky District, a woman beat her husband to death with a bottle.

      The investigation found that on the afternoon of February 3, 2025, a conflict occurred in the village of Bereznik in Kumyonsky District between a woman and her 53‑year‑old husband. According to the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region, the accused, while intoxicated, struck her husband several times on the head, arms and legs with a glass bottle. The victim was taken to hospital, but despite doctors' efforts he died on February 16. The cause of death was a closed craniocerebral and craniofacial injury. At the request of the investigation, a preventive measure in the form of detention was imposed on the woman; she remains in custody. Investigators collected evidence of her involvement in the crime under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) and forwarded the case materials to court for consideration on the merits.
