Uralchem supported a friendly ice hockey match dedicated to the anniversary of the Olimp-Arena Ice Palace.
The first team was represented by the Chairman of the Government of the Kirov Region, Mikhail Sandalov; the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, Dmitry Kurdyumov; the Chairman of the Regional Chamber of Accounts, Yuri Laptev; the director of the KChKhK branch, Yuri Shulga; deputy of the Regional Legislative Assembly Alexander Ivanishin; graduates of "Olimpiya"; and employees of the KChKhK branch. The sports school's team included pupils of various ages. The final score was 7:5 in favor of "Olimpiya".
The sports school was presented with a gift from "Uralchem" — a certificate for holding week-long training camps and master classes at the ice palace.
In his welcoming remarks, the Chairman of the Government of the Kirov Region, Mikhail Sandalov, noted that the Kirovo-Chepetsk land has given the country famous hockey players: Alexander Maltsev, Vladimir Myshkin, Andrei Trefilov, and Vladimir Krikunov, and expressed confidence that among Olimpiya's pupils there are future champions.
Alexander Ivanishin, Chief Technologist for the nitrogen cycle at the KChKhK branch of JSC OHK "Uralchem", deputy of the Regional Legislative Assembly, and director of the ANO "City of Sport":
" Hockey is an important sport in Kirovo-Chepetsk, and 'Olimp-Arena' is a focal point for hockey fans in the city and the region. This friendly match confirms that the regional and city leadership understands this. I hope this victory will further inspire young hockey players to train hard, set big goals for themselves and achieve them. The Olimpiya hockey school has been gaining momentum over the past two years, and Uralchem will continue to support the children's first sporting steps."
