Today Saturn's rings will "disappear".
Today, November 23, for the first time in 15 years Saturn's rings will "disappear" from view. This was reported on the "Amateur Astronomy in Kirov" public page.
According to amateur astronomers, the rings cannot be seen because of Saturn's orientation. The planet is positioned relative to Earth at such an angle that its rings are edge-on, so they cannot be observed.
They will be visible again only in early 2026. Their next "disappearance" will occur in the spring of 2039.
