The second day of the All-Russian Forum on Waste Management took place at the EcoCenter in Kirov.
The second day was devoted to the exchange of developments among researchers and specialists from Kirov, Perm, Izhevsk, and Syktyvkar.
The head of the Eco-Center, Sergey Voronin, took part in the plenary session and delivered a report on fostering an environmental culture among the youth of the Kirov Region. He noted that working with the younger generation is becoming a key priority, as it is they who will determine future environmental changes in the region.
Olga Tupitsyna, a staff member of Samara State Technical University, spoke about the creation of a student eco-center at their university and proposed establishing cooperation — the initiative received support.
In expert presentations, participants showcased technologies for converting industrial waste into new materials, methods for producing biochar and organic fertilizers from wood residues, and solutions aimed at reducing emissions and improving diesel engine efficiency.
The forum served as a platform for exchanging views and practical case studies in the field of ecology and waste management. The event is being held as part of the implementation of the national project "Ecological Well-being."
