In the Yuryansky District, a pig owner was fined for violating veterinary regulations.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and Perm Krai, the decision was made following a repeat inspection. Inspectors found that the previously issued order had not been fully complied with. The farm did not ensure that pigs were kept without outdoor access or that they were exercised under a shelter preventing contact with other animals. Animal housing is constructed of wood and is not resistant to moisture and disinfectants. In addition, there is no equipped area for manure decontamination, and disinfectant mats have not been installed in all premises. For failure to comply with the order within the prescribed period, the owner was held administratively liable under part 8 of Article 19.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and fined. The agency reminded that compliance with veterinary rules is mandatory for all animal owners to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
