Elon Musk spoke about Neuralink's plans to "upload" human consciousness into robots.
According to Musk, if such a process proves to be safe and can give people "superhuman abilities," many will want to use it. He linked the idea to the development of the Optimus robots at Tesla and the creation of a "brain-computer" interface at Neuralink, the Telegram channel "Exploit" reports. The entrepreneur stressed that such technologies still remain on the verge of science fiction — their implementation will require colossal breakthroughs in neuroscience, computing systems, and ethics. However, Musk did not rule out that in the future a biological brain could be integrated with machine systems or completely transferred into them. He added that after such a "migration" the resulting consciousness would not be completely identical to the original, but would become an almost exact digital copy of the person, functioning in the body of a robot.
