Residents of Kirov Oblast are spending more on food and services.
According to the territorial office of the Federal State Statistics Service, from January to September retail turnover amounted to 259.5 billion rubles — 1.8% more than in the same period last year.
On average each resident of the region spent 231.6 thousand rubles on goods during this time. Almost half of the expenditures were on food and beverages (50.4%), while 49.6% were on non-food goods.
The catering sector is also growing. Over nine months Kirov residents spent 17.7 billion rubles on eating out, which is 2.1% more than a year earlier. On average residents of the region spent 15.8 thousand rubles on cafés, restaurants and food delivery.
The volume of paid services amounted to 79.1 billion rubles — roughly the same as last year. The most in-demand services remain housing and communal services (31.6% of the total), followed by household services (17.3%), with communications and transport next.
Most often residents of the region sought car and appliance repairs, construction services and hairdressers. On household services each Kirov resident spent about 12 thousand rubles on average.
