In Kirov, Vodokanal is drilling into the ground to lay new pipelines.
As reported by the city administration, reconstruction work on the water supply and sewage networks is being completed in Sidorovka, Komintern, Novovyatskie, Chistye Prudy and Lyangasovo.
Employees of Vodokanal are replacing the old, dilapidated pipeline with a new one. This minimizes or even completely prevents defects in the networks, and the construction of new manholes will make it possible to loop the system and carry out work without disconnecting consumers from the service.
As the agency explained, the network construction is being carried out using horizontal directional drilling without disturbing the ground, which shortens the time required to complete the work and reduces the number of specialists involved.
"The reconstruction of more than 40 kilometers of water supply and sewage systems covers more than 80 different facilities in the city of Kirov and its suburban areas. To date, the total volume of completed work exceeds 90%. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025," Vodokanal reported.
