From 06:00 on October 19 to 06:00 on October 20, units of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Kirov Region responded to six incidents — three fires and three road traffic accidents.
According to the regional department of the agency, major blazes occurred in Slobodskoy District and the town of Sovetsk. In the village of Bolshie Logunovy a two-apartment residential house caught fire — the flames covered an area of 56 sq m. Twenty-two people and six units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
Another fire occurred in Sovetsk on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street. There a two-apartment house caught fire, and the flames spread over an area of 25 sq m. Seven rescuers fought the blaze with the help of two fire engines.
In addition, EMERCOM personnel were dispatched to deal with three road traffic accidents and other emergency situations.
