The Rospotrebnadzor office for Kirov Oblast has reviewed an appeal regarding possible violations of sanitary law at the Gym Station fitness club on Ivana Popov Street, where an adult film was shot. Earlier, Kirov lawyer Yaroslav Mikhailov submitted a statement requesting an inspection of the club’s hall for compliance with sanitary standards and the aesthetics of the space.
According to the agency’s official response, there are no legal grounds to carry out an inspection of the club. Under current legislation, control measures are possible only when there is reliable information about harm to citizens’ health or a threat of such harm. No such information was contained in the appeal.
Rospotrebnadzor also clarified that issues of “non-purpose use of sports facilities” are not regulated by sanitary rules. A preventive measure was taken regarding the club in the form of written guidance on compliance with mandatory requirements.
In addition, a copy of the appeal was sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kirov for inspection within the scope of that agency’s competence.
Earlier it became known that an explicit video was filmed in one of the Gym Station halls in Kirov, which provoked a wide public outcry.
