      In the Kirov Region an investigation into an accident that the employer attempted to conceal has been completed. The tragedy occurred on June 14 on the Plotniki–Vozhgaly–Bogorodskoe–Uni road in the Uninsky District. During the transport of timber, the driver, who worked for an individual entrepreneur, lost control. The truck went into a ditch and collided with a tree. The 40-year-old man died at the scene from his injuries. The inspection showed that the cause of the crash was an incorrect choice of driving speed. In addition, inspectors uncovered numerous violations of occupational safety requirements by the employer. The man had been allowed to work without the mandatory medical examination and safety briefing, was not provided with personal protective equipment, and the working conditions had not undergone the required assessment. As a result, the entrepreneur was issued an order to remedy the violations. The question of bringing him to administrative responsibility is being considered.
