Most Kirov residents supported the idea of allowing graduates to retake the Unified State Exam (EGE) in all subjects.
SuperJob conducted a survey of economically active residents of Kirov, including parents of senior students and teachers of grades 10–11. The study showed that the majority of participants support the deputies’ initiative to allow graduates to retake the Unified State Exam (EGE) in any subjects of their choice.
According to the survey, 72% of Kirov residents were in favor of the proposal. Fifteen percent were against, and another 13% had difficulty answering. Women support the idea more often than men (74% versus 69%), and support is highest among city residents under 35 — 81%.
Sixty-five percent of teachers of grades 10–11 also support the possibility of retaking. However, 21% of teachers were opposed: “It is important to study a subject throughout all 11 years of schooling. The exam is designed precisely with this factor in mind. Anyone who works diligently can pass this exam on the first try,” the researchers cite.
The proposal found the greatest approval among parents of senior students — 86% of those surveyed supported it.
