On May 15, the residents of Kirov saw workers erecting a fence in Gagarin Park (behind the Philharmonic). At the time the city administration commented that a multifunctional sports ground would appear in the park, including a skate park, a basketball court, and a hockey rink that would be used as a football field in the summer, among other things.
The client for the project is the Municipal Autonomous Institution of Additional Education Sports School "Soyuz" of the city of Kirov. The contractor, according to the site information board, is LLC "Construction Company Partner." The board also states that work began on May 16, 2025, and is due to be completed on September 1, 2025.
Today, October 11, Newsler.ru decided to go admire the site, which has supposedly been finished for about a month, and ask residents what they think of this marvelous, multifunctional wonder. However, we ran into the fence. Having walked around it along the perimeter in vain attempts to find the site information board, we entered an improvised access for machinery. There, after asking, we found out that the board is on the inner side of the fence. Not even at the entrance. It literally faces the construction site. To see it, we had to walk on the sand beneath some boards propped at an angle.
One would assume that the builders should look at the board and remember when they started, when they are supposed to finish, who they are and who the client is. For everyone else, apparently, it's not necessary to know.
The only encouraging thing is that on Saturday there were at least some people on the construction site, though it wasn't exactly "bustling with life." Unfortunately, it cannot yet be said that the construction is in its final stages. The foreman, D.S. Teterin, whose number is listed on the board as the contact, said that, due to family circumstances, it is inconvenient for him to speak, so we will publish his comment on Monday.
