Kirov farmers produced goods worth 73 billion rubles.

      According to Kirovstat, in 2024 farms of all categories produced output worth 73 billion rubles—11 billion rubles more than in 2023. The main agricultural producers in the region remain agricultural organizations: they accounted for 82% of the value of produced output last year.

      Our region ranks among the leaders in the Volga Federal District in milk yield per cow and egg production per laying hen in agricultural organizations. Kirov Oblast is among the top five in the district in milk production by farms of all categories.

      In the past year, in Kirov Oblast per capita production amounted to 76 kilograms of slaughtered livestock and poultry, 762 kilograms of milk, and 553 eggs.

      Agricultural producers, on a per capita basis, produced in 2024 521 kg of grain, 96 kg of potatoes, and 56 kg of open-field and greenhouse vegetables.

      As noted by Kirovstat, the region’s self-sufficiency in milk and eggs exceeds 100%. More than half of the oblast’s domestic consumption of meat and potatoes is provided by local production.
