The prosecutor's office criticized the work of the Kirovo-Chepetsky District administration.
On the evening of July 1, 2025, a road traffic accident involving a minor motorcyclist occurred in the village of Fateyevo in the Kirovo-Chepetsky District. According to the prosecutor's office, a 17-year-old student at a technological college, traveling along Profsoyuznaya Street, struck a 56-year-old male pedestrian. Both parties were injured in the accident and received medical assistance.
It turned out that the young woman did not have a license to operate a motorcycle. After the publication of information and photographic materials about the incident, the crash provoked public outcry.
An inspection carried out by the Kirovo-Chepetsky city prosecutor's office found that preventive work to avert accidents in the district is insufficiently effective. In addition, officials from the supervisory authority noted that measures to collect fines from offenders evading payment need to be intensified.
Information about the violations identified has been sent to the head of the administration of the Kirovo-Chepetsky District with a demand to strengthen preventive work with the population, including minors.
The prosecutor's office emphasized that oversight of road safety and efforts to reduce accident rates in the region will continue.
