Rakhim Azimov will help veterans and volunteers of the Omutninsky District.

State Duma deputy Rakhim Azimov held a working meeting in the format of a video reception with the head of Omutninsky District Alexander Malkov, the head of the Centralized Club System Olga Ignatyeva, and an activist of the volunteer movement supporting participants in the special military operation, Vladimir Druzhenkov.

At the start of the meeting Alexander Malkov thanked the parliamentarian for his assistance in preparing the district’s application for the All‑Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment, held by the Ministry of Construction of Russia. Participation in the competition makes it possible to attract federal funds for landscaping and improving urban infrastructure.

Participants paid particular attention to the work of the volunteer movement “Golden Hands of Omutninsk,” which has been assisting participants in the special military operation since 2022. Activists produce camouflage nets, warm clothing, trench candles and other items needed by the fighters.

“Today our movement includes hundreds of people; veterans play a major role in this work. We ask for help in repairing the premises of the veterans’ organization and assistance in acquiring materials for making the necessary items for our fighters,” said Vladimir Druzhenkov.

Rakhim Azimov expressed his readiness to provide assistance and to attract extrabudgetary funds: “Similar movements operate in many districts of the region — we have already helped the volunteers of Slobodskoy. This is a grassroots initiative deserving of support. I know that Omutninsky Metallurgical Plant and the head of the district provide assistance. We will also certainly help the people who are doing such important work,” the deputy emphasized.

Following the meeting it was decided to allocate 1 million rubles of extrabudgetary funds to support the volunteers and to repair the premises of the veterans’ organization.

They also discussed the results of the district’s participation in United Russia’s federal party project “Culture of the Small Homeland.” Olga Ignatyeva thanked Rakhim Azimov, who coordinates the project’s work in the Kirov region, for his ongoing support. Since 2017 more than 36 million rubles have been directed to cultural institutions in Omutninsky District: the Metallurg House of Culture has been completely renovated, and the concert hall of the Cultural and Sports Center in the settlement of Vostochny has been repaired.

Rakhim Azimov noted that assistance to Omutninsky District is comprehensive and includes both support within federal programs and the mobilization of extrabudgetary resources to address specific local tasks.
