Deputies in Kotelnich were shown a school.

Representatives of the construction company LLC "Rost" from Kirov, which won the tender to build the school in Kotelnich, met with deputies and presented the design of the future educational institution. Recall that on the site where "Assa" left a water-filled excavation, nicknamed "the Ichthyander school," a facility is planned that includes classrooms for 461 students, a sports and recreation complex, a swimming pool and a cafeteria.

Earlier the Kotelnich school project was assessed by the region's head, Alexander Sokolov, at the governor’s monthly headquarters meeting on the implementation of national projects.

For the first time since the project began, deputies of the Kotelnich Duma were able to see the appearance of the future school in person with all its details. So it is not surprising that the meeting with the general contractor featured lively discussion. For example, the elected representatives were concerned about the possibility of operating the assembly hall and the pool separately from the educational process. As emerged during the discussion, there are no such facilities in the district center, while there is a need for a cultural and sports center.

It turned out that the project provides for this possibility — there is a separate entrance and a cloakroom. In other words, local authorities will effectively have the option to hold events.

In addition, deputies were concerned whether there would be enough seats in the cafeteria for all students, to which they received a positive answer — the cafeteria is designed for 154 seats.

Currently surveys and geodetic work are being carried out on the construction site. Upon their completion, engineers will refine the designs of the foundation and frame and will carry out dewatering works.
