      The average old-age pension will amount to 27.1 thousand rubles — about 2 thousand rubles more than now, reports RBC.

      "As with last year, a decision has been made to index pensions early — immediately from January 1, and at a level above inflation," the ministry explained.

      According to the Ministry of Labor, more than 18.7 trillion rubles will be allocated through the Social Fund in 2026 for pension payments and other social support measures, of which almost 13 trillion will go to pensions.

      Social pensions will be indexed by 6.8% from April 1. The maximum amounts of insurance benefits will also increase:

      for temporary incapacity — more than 207 thousand rubles per month;

      for pregnancy and childbirth — up to 955.8 thousand rubles;

      for childcare of a child up to one and a half years for working citizens — up to 83 thousand rubles per month.

      In addition, a new family payment will come into effect in 2026: parents with two or more children will be refunded part of their income tax. 119 billion rubles are budgeted for this.
