
In Kirov Oblast, a car hit a moose, ran off into a ditch and caught fire.
Yesterday, September 22, fire and rescue units of the Kirov Region responded to five traffic accidents. The most serious of them occurred at the 16th kilometer of the Kirov–Sovetsk–Yaransk highway when a VAZ-2110 collided with a moose. As a result of the collision the car ran off into a ditch and caught fire. The vehicle was extinguished by eight people and two vehicles of the Kirov Regional Fire and Rescue Service.
In addition, on September 22 there were four fires in the region, including in the town of Urzhum on Kirov Street, where a private bathhouse of 15 sq. m. caught fire. No incidents on bodies of water were reported. A criminal case has been opened against an intoxicated pensioner over whose actions a 29-year-old motorcyclist died. Details have emerged about the traffic accident involving a moose that occurred in Kirov.
