Peskov confirmed that the Direct Line with Putin will take place in 2025.

This was announced by the press secretary to the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, at the Eastern Economic Forum, RBC reports.

"Yes, we will definitely hold it again before the end of the year," the outlet quotes the Kremlin representative as saying.

"A Direct Line with Vladimir Putin" is an annual event during which the head of state answers citizens' questions. It was held for the first time in 2001. Exceptions were 2004, 2012, 2020 and 2022. In 2020, elements of the Direct Line were included in a press conference, and in 2023 the two formats were combined.

Last year the Direct Line took place on December 19 and lasted 4 hours and 27 minutes. At that time we reported that the president had received around 2 million questions, the majority of which concerned the course of the special operation, support for the front and the families of servicemen. The president also touched on the economic agenda, noting that Russia's economy is showing growth despite external factors.
