
Kirov Oblast ranked 30th in IQ.
The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia has published the calculations of the Urban Economy Digitalization Index “IQ of Cities” for 2024.
Recall that the territories’ “intellectual capabilities” index is calculated within the framework of the federal “Smart City” project and the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” It shows the level of implementation of digital technologies in areas such as housing and communal services, transport, culture, education and security.
In the regions category, Kirov Oblast took 30th place out of 86 federal subjects with a score of 126.2 points. For comparison: Yugra was the leader (233.4 points), Perm Krai took second place (226.9), and Tyumen Oblast was third (222.9).
In the category of the largest cities, the winners were Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Perm.
Among the small municipalities of Kirov Oblast, Kotelnich showed the highest figures (151.7 points). Also included in the ranking were Belokholunitsky and Sovetsky districts (140.0 each), Slobodskoy (134.2), Omutninsky District (133.7), Urzhumsky (132.8), Vyatskiye Polyany (126.2), Yaransky District (117.5) and a number of other territories.
The Ministry of Construction emphasizes that the index results reflect not only the current level of digital maturity but also set benchmarks for the further development of smart cities and municipalities.
