Could heating fees be raised in Kirov Oblast?

      The Prosecutor's Office of the Pervomaysky District of the city of Kirov is checking how legislation in the field of housing and communal services is being enforced during the preparation of housing and communal services facilities for the upcoming heating season.

      Thus, prosecutors, together with specialists from the territorial subdivision of Rostechnadzor, inspected heat-supply facilities located in the supervised territory. During the inspection, breaches in the integrity of the network’s thermal insulation were recorded. This may lead to increased fuel consumption and higher charges for supplied energy resources for residents of the Kirov Region during the heating period.

      In this connection, the prosecutor filed formal representations to the heads of the heat-supplying organizations. The prosecutor’s office is monitoring the outcome of the review of the response acts and the remediation of the legal violations.
