In Kirov, the investigation into a criminal case against a 36-year-old local resident has been completed. He is accused of falsely reporting an act of terrorism.
Investigators established that the man was at home and decided to call the police because of noise from neighbors. To speed up the arrival of officers, he told the dispatch center that he had allegedly planted a bomb in the house.
Emergency services arrived at the scene, but no real threat was found. The man was soon detained; he admitted his guilt.
Recently the criminal case was sent to the prosecutor for approval of the indictment. It will be considered by a court.
It should be noted that a false report of a terrorist act is punishable by a fine of up to 700,000 rubles or by imprisonment for up to five years.
