Sokolov demanded that Simakov keep Kirov's transport under special control.
Kirov Oblast Governor Alexander Sokolov instructed the head of the city administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, to place public transport operations under special oversight. According to the governor, new educational institutions opened in Kirov this year, and from September 1 the transport load on the streets will increase. Transport operators need to take this into account and avoid schedule violations.
Ahead of the new school year, transport companies will hold additional talks with staff about the importance and necessity of maintaining vehicle intervals and driving discipline. The transport department added that each case of failure to perform scheduled trips is considered individually, and if the requirements of the municipal contract are not met, the Department of Urban Economy sends claims to the carriers.
The mayor’s office added that due to periodic satellite signal failures, the map may incorrectly display the locations of buses and trolleybuses. In addition, estimated arrival times may be incorrect. Real-time information about transport operations can be obtained by calling 48-59-94 or 48-59-92.
