More than 1,700 children spent the summer in GZhD camps.
The session took place at two sites — at the Sosnovy Bor camp in Vladimir Oblast and at Yalchik in the Republic of Mari El.
The summer wellness campaign began on June 11 and ended on August 17. Twenty-two suburban train services were organized to transport the children, using modern carriages equipped with air-conditioning. Medical personnel and security staff accompanied the groups en route, and meals were also provided.
Educational and developmental programs were prepared for participants at the camps: "Yalchik Holidays" and "Path to Success." They were aimed at personal development, the cultivation of leadership qualities, and improving health.
In addition, an overarching program called "Country of Railways" was in effect, under which the children studied the basics of digital literacy, healthy lifestyles, and social project design.
