Kirov residents hold over 305 billion rubles in banks.

As of July 1, 2025, residents of Kirov Oblast had placed more than 305 billion rubles in banks — excluding funds in escrow accounts. According to the Volga–Vyatka Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia, the volume of deposits increased by 24.9% compared with the previous year.

Almost the entire amount is held in rubles — 98.6% (about 301 billion rubles).

According to Sergey Kryukov, head of the Kirov branch of the Bank of Russia, in the first half of 2025 banks continued to offer deposit yields that exceeded the inflation rate. This made bank savings especially attractive and reinforced Kirov residents’ habit of putting money aside.
