On August 11 in Sovetsk a VAZ-2110 car ignited during welding work. Two days later, in the village of Osinovitsa in Verkhoshizhemsky District a residential house caught fire — a washing machine, a shower cabin and the ceiling were damaged; the cause was a short circuit.

On August 18 in the settlement of Kotchikha in Omutninsky District a fire in an apartment bathroom destroyed appliances and damaged the walls — also due to a short circuit.

In addition, fire and rescue units were dispatched 23 times to road accidents; in one case they had to extricate a person from a vehicle.

Three tragedies were recorded on the region’s bodies of water. On August 15 in Kirov a man’s body was found in the Khlynovka River; on August 16 a resident drowned in the Moloma River in Darovskoy District; and on August 17 a man also died in the Shudumka River in Kiknur District.
