Last year, 603 thousand square meters of housing were built in the region.

      The department reported that the average number of employees in construction organizations in 2024 was approximately 9,000 people, accounting for nearly 3% of the total employed in the region's organizations. According to the results of the past year, the volume of construction work in the Kirov region amounted to 54.6 billion rubles. In the first half of 2025, construction volumes totaled 25.7 billion rubles, which is 26% more than in the first half of 2024 in comparable prices.

      Throughout 2024, 603,800 square meters of housing were built in the region, a 1.4% increase compared to the previous year. In the first half of 2025, 2,752 apartments in multi-family and individual residential buildings were commissioned in Kirov region. The total area of housing commissioned during the half-year period was 243,800 square meters.

      In addition to residential buildings, 181 non-residential structures with a total area of 184,000 square meters were commissioned in the region in 2024, an 11% increase compared to 2023. Last year, two schools with a total capacity of 2,600 students, a kindergarten for 150 children in Kirov, and a clinic in Kilymez, designed for 200 visits per shift, were put into operation. In the first half of this year, the construction of a school for 1,606 students, a kindergarten for 160 children in Kirov, and a clinic for 200 visits per shift in Nolyansk were completed.

      Of the total number of non-residential buildings commissioned, 27.7% are agricultural buildings, 26.3% are educational buildings, 24.9% are industrial, and 12.8% are commercial. 1.2% of the total commissioned non-residential buildings are administrative, 0.7% healthcare facilities, and 6.4% other types of buildings.
