A mutilated man's body was found on Gorky Street.
On August 2nd, law enforcement authorities reported the discovery of the body of a 45-year-old man with signs of violent death near one of the houses on Gorky Street in Kirov. An investigation was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder).
Investigators and police officers managed to identify and arrest a person involved in the murder. The suspect is a 45-year-old acquaintance of the deceased man.
On August 2nd, the Kirov resident was with the victim in the yard of a house on Gorky Street. At some point, a conflict erupted between them, and the assailant, aiming to kill, delivered several knife strikes to his friend's head and body. The victim died at the scene.
The suspect was detained by an investigator in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. He has been charged with committing a particularly serious crime. The investigation intends to petition the court to assign a preventive measure of detention for the accused.
All circumstances of the incident are currently being established. The investigation is ongoing.
