In the German district, a woman got behind the wheel again while drunk—this time without a car and facing punishment.
The prosecutor's office of Nema district in Kirovskaya Oblast succeeded in securing a conviction against a 37-year-old local resident who was again caught driving under the influence. The woman had previously had her driver's license revoked for a similar offense, but this did not prevent her from getting behind the wheel again — this time in a "Chery Tiggo."
The incident occurred on May 22, 2025. The offender's car was stopped by traffic inspectors on one of the streets of the Nema settlement. The woman was intoxicated, and her driver's license had already been revoked by that time.
The court found her guilty of Part 1, Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving while intoxicated after license revocation) and sentenced her to 180 hours of compulsory labor. She is also prohibited from driving vehicles for two years. Upon motion of the prosecutor, the court confiscated the vehicle — it will now become state property.
