The Intermunicipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Kirovo-Chepetsky" reported a fire at the premises of one of the district's enterprises. As a result of the fire, the roof, plastic waste, and waste processing equipment covering an area of 800 square meters were destroyed. The damage caused exceeded 40 million rubles.
An investigation revealed that the fire may have been caused by an ignited source of fire. Officers from the Kirovo-Chepetsky Criminal Investigation Department identified a previously convicted woman born in 1972 from Chepetsk as involved. The woman had previously worked at the enterprise and experienced a conflict with management at some point. The day before the incident, she managed to access the premises and set fire to the trash.
A criminal case has been initiated against the woman under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of Russia (deliberate destruction of someone else's property by arson). She is currently in custody.
