      Most Kirov residents feel sorry to part with old clothing and footwear — this was reported by 24% of respondents. Items associated with memories are the second most difficult to part with, with 12% of those surveyed expressing this sentiment. Old household appliances and electronics are still kept by 11% of participants in the survey.

      Six percent of respondents cannot throw away books. An equal percentage struggle to part with furniture, toys, and children's items. Some carefully preserve gifts, jewelry, tools, dishes, bags, and even flower pots.

      One in five Kirov residents admitted to easily getting rid of unnecessary items. Fifteen percent of city residents cannot throw away almost anything, even if the item is no longer needed.
