In the Kumen district, pigs were kept improperly.

Recently, the owner of pigs from the village of Lutoshkino, Kumensky district, was held accountable administratively. A fine was imposed as punishment.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor Department for the Kirov Region, during an unscheduled inspection of the citizen's personal subsidiary farm, it was found that he kept eight pigs in violation of veterinary regulations. Specifically, the farm perimeter was not fenced in a way that prevented the ingress of wild animals and people. There was no disinfectant mat at the entrance to the piggery, nor was there any change of disinfected work clothing.

The pig housing was made of wood, which did not allow for proper washing and disinfection. Additionally, free-range keeping of pigs was permitted, as evidenced by numerous hoof prints and waste on the outdoor area.

Manure storage was located on the ground near the pig housing and not in a designated area. During feeding, food waste and feed that had not undergone thermal processing were used.
