On Saturday, July 26, everyone is welcome to attend the Istobensky Cucumber Festival, which takes place annually in the village of Istobensk, Orichevsky District. A diverse cultural program and entertainment will be provided for festival visitors, hosted at several venues in Istobensk.
At 10:00 AM, a mini-football tournament for the Cucumber Cup is scheduled at the Istobensk school stadium. At 12:40 PM, the most colorful event of the "Cucumber Festival" — a carnival procession — will begin in the square near the House of Culture. The festival's grand opening is planned for 1:00 PM. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in the cucumber crunch championship, a cucumber checkers tournament, and take a guided tour around the village of Istobensk, visiting local attractions and cucumber beds.
At 4:30 PM, the final of the Cucumber Crunch and a gladiator competition from Istobensk will take place. Later, attendees can enjoy a performance by the Airborne Forces ensemble "Blue Berets," and the "Cucumber Festival" will conclude with a disco.
