Acting Prosecutor of the Kirov Region Dmitry Shestnyov conducted an inspection at Penal Colony No. 27, located in the Lesnoy settlement of the Vorkhny Kamsky District. This facility is intended for convicted individuals who have previously served their sentences, as well as for those found guilty of particularly serious crimes. The colony also operates a settlement section for first-time offenders convicted of minor and medium gravity crimes, as well as those committed through negligence. During the visit, the prosecutor inspected living and utility premises and held a personal meeting with the inmates. The inspection revealed that overall, the material and living conditions meet the requirements. However, violations of legislation related to detention conditions and the organization of educational work with inmates were identified. The identified problems were discussed at an operational meeting with the institution's management. As noted by the prosecutors, the results of the inspection will be taken into account when preparing prosecutorial response acts.
