The State Duma adopted a law increasing "transport" duties.
The bill "On Amendments to Part Two of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation" was submitted to the State Duma on July 7 of this year. According to the explanatory note to the document, the legislative initiative to increase the amount of state fees is related to the need to strengthen oversight and update tariffs that have not changed since 2014.
Today, July 22, the deputies of the State Duma approved this bill.
In particular, the adopted document provides for a doubling of the state fee for issuing a Russian driver's license. The cost of the plastic driver's license card will increase from 2,000 rubles to 4,000 rubles. And for a new-generation driver's license, instead of 3,000 rubles, drivers will need to pay 6,000 rubles. The new prices apply to both initial issuance of the license and cases of replacement or restoration of the driver's license.
The fee for issuing vehicle registration plates, including the replacement of lost or damaged plates, will increase from 2,000 rubles to 3,000 rubles. The fee for a paper vehicle registration certificate will rise from 500 rubles to 1,500 rubles, while the plastic certificate will go up from 1,500 rubles to 4,500 rubles. The cost of transit plates for vehicles and trailers will increase from 1,600 rubles to 2,500 rubles.
Issuance of an international driver's license will cost 3,200 rubles instead of 1,600 rubles. The fee for issuing a safety compliance certificate for a vehicle’s design will increase from 1,500 rubles to 4,500 rubles, and for a permit to make modifications to the vehicle's design — from 1,000 rubles to 3,000 rubles.
