At night in Kirovo-Chepetsk, traffic police officers noticed a VAZ-2110 car, whose driver was behaving uncertainly on the road, performing sharp maneuvers and breaking the rules. This raised suspicion that the man was intoxicated.
The driver ignored the attempt to stop, and the officers began a pursuit with flashing lights and siren. Meanwhile, the man drove onto a rural highway heading towards the Prosnitsa settlement.
To stop the car, the police were forced to use service weapons. After two warning shots, they opened fire on the tires. A total of eight shots were fired, after which the car stopped. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The driver was a 31-year-old resident of the Uninsky district. He had previously been convicted for drunk driving. Administrative materials were drawn up against him, and the question of initiating a criminal case is being considered.
