Australian skins approved in the Kirov region
Yesterday, July 8th, the Rosselkhoznadzor Department for the Kirov Region inspected the first two batches of sheep skins weighing 48.9 tons, which arrived in our region from Australia. The department explained that the skins are intended for the production of fur products. "Unprocessed animal skins are considered low phytosanitary risk products, therefore, quarantine phytosanitary control is required upon import at the place of customs clearance," noted the Department. As a result of the inspection, no violations of phytosanitary requirements were detected, and the release of the product was authorized.
